Loose leaf lasts noticeably longer than a bagged pillow of it: a sealed bag traps the ethylene the leaves give off and they turn to slime in three days. Keep this wrapped loosely in a cloth or a paper bag in the fridge drawer and it holds four days. It wilts to about a fifth of its volume, so two hundred grams is a generous side for four.

Loose produce is picked into your order on the morning it leaves us, and meat and counter cheese are cut the same day. Everything travels chilled in insulated totes.

Do not wash produce before storing it — damp skin is what starts the rot. Wash it when you cook it.
Order before 14:00 for next-day delivery, or pick a two-hour evening slot. Collection from any of our stores is free and usually ready within two hours.
