Verdant Mill

Verdant Mill grows and packs vegetables rather than badging them: carrots and potatoes out of its own autumn store, salad leaves cut the morning an order leaves, greenhouse tomatoes left on the vine until they are properly red. Everything is sold loose, by the kilogram, because nobody needs a shrink-wrapped tray of six.

The one thing they make rather than grow is an oat drink, milled from their own oats — which is why the barista version foams instead of splitting in hot coffee. Short ingredient lists are the house rule.
